Texas-born and Memphis-raised, Dusty delivers strong, soulful vocals that soars above the production of the universally relatable song that speaks to anyone falling in love after a long-ago heartbreak.

“‘Dust Off of Me’ is a song about learning how to love and trust someone new after a broken heart. Picking up the pieces, dusting ourselves off and getting back out there,” says Dusty.

Produced by Mickey Jack Cones (Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett) and written by Connie Harrington, Heath Sanders, Josh Dunn and Houston Phillips, the song’s lyrics are at once heartfelt and visually stunning:

So don’t take it wrong

If I don’t take your hand like I probably should

Or steal a kiss when you wish I would

And I might seem like I’m a little gun shy

But girl don’t you think nothin’ of it

This heart’ll be good as new trust me

It’s just a little bit rusty

But maybe you can love the dust off of me
